Winnebago Industries, Inc. (NYSE: WGO) is a publicly traded manufacturer of recreational vehicles and powerboats headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, with RV manufacturing operations in Forest City, Charles City, Lake Mills and Waverly, Iowa. The company was incorporated in Iowa on February 12, 1958 by Forest City businessman John K. Hanson as a travel-trailer maker and adopted the Winnebago Industries name on February 28, 1961; it built its first motorhome in 1966. Winnebago Industries now operates as a multi-brand portfolio spanning motorhomes, travel trailers and fifth wheels (Winnebago, Grand Design, Newmar) and powerboats (Chris-Craft, Barletta).
