About Wayfarer Vans

Wayfarer Vans is a camper-van conversion company based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, founded in 2015 by Ian Horgan after a cold, rained-out mountain-bike camping trip inspired the idea of a simpler, faster camper van. The company converts new and used Ford Transit and RAM ProMaster cargo vans into turnkey campers at its Colorado Springs shop, offering four standardized layouts (Walter, Walt, Wilma, Wilford) rather than custom builds, with installation included and completed on-site in a few days.

How they build

Wayfarer's stated approach is to remove complexity from travel by building simple, standardized (non-custom) camper van conversions that can be completed in days rather than months, at a fraction of the cost of a fully custom build.

  • Turnkey 1-2 day installation
  • Standardized (non-custom) van layouts
  • Ford Transit & RAM ProMaster conversions
  • Havelock wool insulation
  • Named Outside Magazine's 'Best Camper Van'
