About TrailManor

TrailManor is a hardwall folding travel trailer manufacturer based in Parkston, South Dakota, built today by TM Industries, LLC. The design was created by founder Dr. William J. Hulsey using an aircraft-style aluminum-and-foam sandwich construction so the trailer folds flat for towing and pops up in about five minutes without canvas or hand-cranking. TrailManor was originally founded in 1983 in Lake City, Tennessee; after Hulsey's health issues led him to sell the company, it was purchased in 2017 by South Dakota's Old Elm Spring Hutterite Colony, which incorporated as TM Industries, LLC and built a new manufacturing plant in Parkston, SD, where Paul Wipf serves as CEO. TrailManor's current lineup (TM16, Sport, and 2518-3124 series) is sold through a growing network of dealers in the US and Canada.

How they build

TrailManor's design approach, set by founder William J. Hulsey, is to build a hardwall trailer that weighs roughly half as much as a conventional travel trailer of the same size, using foam-core aluminum sandwich panels with no particle board, so it can be towed by a minivan, crossover, or SUV rather than a large tow vehicle.
