“Custom Camper Van Conversions Since 1961”
About Sportsmobile
Sportsmobile is a custom camper-van conversion company that has built van-based Class B motorhomes since 1961. It converts Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster, and Chevy Express vans at three company-operated locations: Sportsmobile North in Huntington, Indiana; Sportsmobile Southwest in Gold Canyon, Arizona; and Sportsmobile Texas in Austin, Texas. The company was founded by Charles Borskey in El Paso, Texas, and has since completed more than 10,000 conversions, working directly with customers rather than through independent RV dealers. Sportsmobile Texas serves as the company's coordinating office for design, marketing, and quality-control standards across all three locations.
How they build
The company says it has a moral obligation to help customers obtain a Sportsmobile that will provide years of pleasure and service as well as being a sound investment, and works with each buyer directly through an experienced Sportsmobile designer rather than through a dealer network.
