About Hive Campers
Hive Campers was a Salt Lake City, Utah manufacturer of off-road capable, made-to-order camper trailers (the EX and MX lines), built from laser-cut aluminum panels, CNC-bent steel frames, and powder-coated components. The company was founded by Mauricio Narvarte, who had previously built teardrop trailers before designing the more functional Hive prototype; his wife Veronica worked alongside him on design and business operations. In 2019 a Hive EX trailer was paired with Volkswagen's Atlas Basecamp Concept at the New York International Auto Show. As of this review, Hive Campers' own website states the company 'has officially ceased operations' and is closed.
How they build
Narvarte built Hive Campers around the idea that typical teardrop trailers were not functional enough or didn't hold enough cargo, engineering a stronger, more capable alternative through precision 3D-modeled, laser-cut, and CNC-bent construction rather than traditional trailer-building methods.
