About Helio RV

Hélio (Helio RV) is a Canadian manufacturer of ultralight, teardrop-shaped mini travel trailers built from molded fiberglass on an aluminum chassis. The company was founded in 2014 by Jean-Roch Lacroix, Marco Leblanc, and Jerémy Leblanc in Lavaltrie, Quebec, and grew from a handful of Quebec dealers to distribution across Canada and into the United States. Its lineup includes the Series O mini trailers (sleeping up to four, with a wet bath and kitchenette) and the ultra-light Series HE3, designed to be towable by a three-wheeled vehicle. The company filed for bankruptcy in late 2023 following an ownership buyout and health issues affecting a founding partner, and has continued producing trailers under revised ownership for subsequent model years.

How they build

Hélio's design goal from the outset was to build the smallest, lightest travel trailer that could be towed by a small SUV or an electric vehicle, using fiberglass-on-aluminum construction to minimize weight.
