About Heartland RV
Heartland RV is a manufacturer of towable travel trailers, fifth wheels, and toy haulers headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, selling through brands including North Trail, Prowler, Sundance, Bighorn, Milestone, and Cyclone. The company was founded in December 2003 by a group of veteran RV industry executives led by Brian Brady, previously president and CEO of Damon Corp. Thor Industries acquired Heartland in September 2010, and in March 2025 Heartland was operationally integrated under the Jayco Family of Companies within Thor, adopting Jayco's manufacturing and quality-control processes while continuing to run its own facilities.
How they build
Heartland designs RVs around direct owner and dealer feedback (its 'Core 5' approach), builds using standardized components such as TrussTXL roofing, CoreShield wall construction, and AeroChill climate control, and puts every unit through a 100% pre-delivery inspection before it leaves the factory.
