About Harker Outdoors
Harker Outdoors designs and builds lightweight overland wedge campers for pickup trucks — the EDC (Expedition Driven Camper) and EXO models — at its own shop in North Salt Lake, Utah. Campers use a fully welded 2-inch steel tube frame with an aluminum composite roof/skin and are installed in-house rather than shipped as a kit. The company also produces its own 12-volt electrical and solar product line, Dirt Circuit. The EDC concept was developed by co-founder and lead designer Joe Harker.
How they build
Harker Outdoors designs its campers to maximize standing room and interior living space in a lightweight, quickly deployable package — aiming to eliminate the crouch-and-crawl entry typical of rooftop tents while keeping total weight around 300 lbs so the camper can stay on the truck as a daily driver.
