“Because Sleeping On The Ground Sucks!”
About Drifter Trailers
Drifter Trailers builds compact, overland-oriented camping trailers in Springfield, Georgia, near Savannah. The trailers are American-made and sold factory-direct, with free delivery offered to all lower 48 states, and the company pitches them as rugged, affordable shelters for overlanding, hunting, and quick trips — summed up by its slogan, "Because Sleeping On The Ground Sucks!" The core product is the Gen 3, a squaredrop-style trailer in a standard 5x10 body (with a slimmer 4x10 available by special order) featuring Timbren axle-less suspension, electric brakes, a 12-volt electrical package, roof rack and basket, a large front storage box, and two entry doors with windows. A newer Gen 4 Exo model extends the lineup, and the company increasingly tailors its trailers to the overlanding community. Drifter Trailers changed hands recently: the company announced a new owner and a new vision heading into the 2025 model year, upgrading standard equipment across the lineup while continuing to sell direct with financing options.
