About Cortes Campers
Cortes Campers is a Cleveland, Ohio manufacturer of molded fiberglass travel trailers, founded in 2019 as a division of US Lighting Group, a company with a background in high-performance powerboat fabrication. Production of its first model, the 17-ft Cortes 17, began in June 2021. Its campers are 100% fiberglass with zero wood in the structure, built as double-hulled inner and outer shells, and are sold through a dealer network in the US and Canada.
How they build
Uses premium biaxial fiberglass and carbon fiber over a core center rather than industry-standard chopper-gun fiberglass, finished in marine-grade gelcoat with UV inhibitors; stainless steel fasteners and wood-free construction are meant to eliminate rot, mold and corrosion.
