About CampinAwe
Campinawe (pronounced 'camp-in-awe') of Shawnee, Kansas builds lightweight all-terrain camping trailers under 2,000 pounds, currently the Pioneer, Frontier and Adventure models. The brand grew out of a 2021 napkin sketch at Infusion Design, the Bonner Springs, Kansas industrial design firm founded by Sean Elsner in 1997 that has designed for Learjet, Ranger Boats and Airstream, in partnership with Kansas City's Croft Trailer Supply, a trailer builder since 1939. The first Campinawe Sport trailer launched in 2022.
How they build
Aerospace- and marine-derived construction: non-organic, Kynar-skinned insulated panels that will not rot or mold, assembled like a 3D puzzle with Silaprene adhesive behind a 100% mechanically fastened assembly, on a welded 7-gauge steel Croft chassis with independent torsion suspension. Systems are all-electric 'home-base' technology with no winterizing, and the company is NATM certified.
