About Camp-Inn Trailers
Camp-Inn Trailers (Petenwell Industries LLC) of Necedah, Wisconsin builds retro-styled teardrop travel trailers patterned after 1930s-40s designs. Founders Craig Edevold and Cary Winch, both engineers, built their first teardrop for a 2000 Route 66 family trip after failing to find a light, low-drag trailer they could tow with a car, then quit their jobs in April 2002 to build them full time. Trailers are custom built to order and sold factory direct.
How they build
Each trailer is custom built to the customer's order: a plywood structure skinned in aluminum or stainless steel, with interiors lined and built out in plywood and solid wood, styled after classic 1930s-40s teardrops.
