“Custom Van Conversions in Canada”
About 2 Pines Upfitters
Paved to Pines is a custom van conversion shop in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, that has since rebranded as 2Pines Upfitters ("same company, same crew, same shop" per its own FAQ); the company's website now resolves to 2pines.com. Founded in 2018 when co-founder Steven traded a motorcycle for a 1991 school bus and spent a year converting it, the company builds four-season, Canadian-tested custom camper vans (Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit) as well as commercial van conversions from a 5,500-square-foot shop, and has completed more than 75 conversions to date.
How they build
The company holds to three stated principles: build entirely by hand with no shortcuts, use only real materials (solid hardwood, real plywood, no particle board), and build specifically for Canadian climate, roads, and winters, with every van engineered for four-season use down to -25°C.
